Study in Ireland

28th Sep 2022 - Nepal Ireland Society (www.nepalireland.org) and Ireland-Nepal Chamber of Commerce (www.incc.ie) jointly concluded a successful virtual education fair for Nepalese students to promote Irish higher education institutions. The event was organized with support from Education in Ireland (an Irish government body) and the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi.

Our special thanks and gratitude to HE Irish Ambassador to India (and concurrently Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) Mr. Brendan Ward for his support and kindly attending the program and delivering a keynote speech.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Barry O'Driscoll from Education in Ireland for the keynote overview and Ms. Wendy D'Souza from Enterprise Ireland for the help and support.

Thanks to all speakers from Ireland's top colleges and universities who presented the courses their colleges offer and various other aspects of the colleges:

  • Ms. Lorraine Woods, University College Dublin (www.ucd.ie)

  • Mr. Vincent Barry, ICD Business School (www.icd.ie)

  • Ms. Ishita Singh, Technological University of the Shannon (www.tus.ie)

The Nepal Ireland Society and Ireland Nepal Chamber of Commerce are looking for a major collaboration between Nepal and Ireland in the education sector such as research collaboration, the possibility of scholarships for Nepalese students in Ireland, and academic exchange visits. This Education Fair is the first step to further cement the link with the Irish government in the education sector to explore opportunities that would benefit both countries.
