Help Nepal Network is a global organization, established by Nepalese staying worldwide. This global network has a well-defined objective: to helping our country fellows in Nepal who are deprived of even the very basic needs such as school, health posts, drinking water supply etc. It is a pure social service organization, without any political polarity and geographical division but has a sole intention to help our country fellow in dire need.

We, the Nepalese staying out of country, if make even a very small contribution to this organization, this will amount a lot to them. For example, if we chose to donate just
Euro 1 per month, which is merely the cost of one cup of tea or half pint of beer, it matters very much to them who are dire need of such help. A Euro 1 per month will generate about Rs.1000 annually from one person, and if such donation of Euro 1 can be established from 100 persons, it will easily raise an amount of NRs 1 Lakh per year. This amount along with the participation of the local people is sufficient to construct a school building or a health post in some remote mountain area each year.

Raising money in this way seems not that difficult, but utilizing it at the proper place and to follow-up the investment is another pain-taking job. Many organizations in Nepal are making such effort but due to lack of some purely devoted social workers, they always fail to sustain. In this regard, Help Nepal Network has established a well-devoted group of people to select, implement and look after such ongoing projects. In this way, each cent we donated will directly go to the genuinely help-needing people. This network is well aware of the fact: if we are convinced that our money is utilized in an appropriate manner, we feel much satisfaction and willing to contribute even more.

The founder committee of HeNN is in the UK. Its branches have already established in the USA, Canada, the CIS, Sweden, Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand etc. HeNN has already supported many projects in different parts of Nepal. Some of them are as follows:

Irish Chapter of Help Nepal Network has been established in August 2004 with an active effort of Deepesh. Presently, there are six executive members in this HeNN-Ireland chapter, which include myself, Anand, Suman, Milan, Ganga Ram Kandel and Jayram, and of course Deepesh. Our first objective is to give this organization a formal shape and to inspire all our friends working/studying in Ireland to contribute Euro 1 per month to this organization. We will keep names of all the contributors in our web-bulletin and these names will always be there in the website. We, the executive members, have already committed some monthly contribution, and are in the process of transferring this amount to the bank account, which we are trying to open in the name of HeNN-Ireland. At the beginning, we will invest the money to some already ongoing project. Once we make some contribution now, in the due course of time, we the HeNN-Irish chapter, can invest to an individual project in future.

Therefore, I would sincerely like to request all Nepalese friends studying and working in Ireland, to make at least Euro 1 monthly contribution to HeNN-Ireland chapter and join hand in serving our motherland.
